Out of the oodles of great reasons to live in Duluth, one of our favorites is watching and enjoying the majestic vessels entering and departing our international port. It is a sight that never gets old or boring!
As our very mild winter slowly leaves us with the start of spring this week, our Duluth shipping season has begun, a sure sign of spring! The first ship of the season, the Mesabi Miner, departed on Friday, the 16th of March headed to Marquette, MI and will be returning to Duluth on Monday, the 19th. Slowly but surely other ships will be entering and departing and the season will be in full swing.
This is just one of the many reasons March and April are a great time to escape to Duluth. You can enjoy the wonderful shops, restaurants, sites, and events without the mass crowds of summer and discover the beauty of our port season as spring erupts.  Discover some of our new restaurants like Tycoons, and step back into the days of prohibition with the new Rathskeller that just opened its doors in the basement of this great new restaurant. Just down the street, and after dinner, take in some fun comedy and Improv at the Renegade Comedy Theater, then stroll across the street to Blackwater Lounge and enjoy a signature martini! All located in downtown Duluth minutes from the shores of Lake Superior, and all of our Duluth Bed and Breakfasts!
And there is NO Better Way to Stay while in Duluth than at a Duluth MN Bed and Breakfast! You simply will not find better accommodations than what Duluth’s B&B’s have to offer. From whirlpools to lake views to amazing gourmet breakfasts…it just can’t be beat!
So take some time this spring to retreat and treat yourself to a Duluth Bed and Breakfast! You deserve it!
