The Gunflint Green Up is a tree planting weekend May 2-4 where some 75,000 pine seedlings will be planted in public areas affected by the 2007 Ham Lake Fire. We know we can’t replace the trees and cabins that were lost
last year, but we can look ahead and plant a pine forest for future generations.
The Green Up program begins on Friday with a special program; Saturday will be dedicated to tree plant. All volunteer tree planters will receive trees to plant, planting equipment, a box lunch,a Green Up t-shirt and in the evening a picnic dinner-dance will be held.
