See Gary Rue perform at Lanesboro’s St. Mane theatre on April 5. Gary has been playing and writing since February of 1964 when he saw the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan show. In 1981, he began writing seriously for the stage. Over 1000 songs later, Mr. Rue has composed somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 pieces of musical theater.
” …performs a wide variety of original compositions rooted in rock, pop, country, jazz and ethnic: sort of Roy Orbison meets Mose Allison meets Chet Baker meets Curt Weill.”
