The new hummingbirds are out and in full force! We have a new little ‘master-in-training’ that we are calling ‘Little or Prince’ Tut. The current master is ‘King Tut’ so we are sure that this new little guy is going to be the next ruler of the feeders. He doesn’t even have all of his colors yet, still fuzzy chested and no ruby ring! We are currently serving up about 2 quarts of ‘hummingbird juice’ daily, and it gets a little more each day as they grow and get stronger.
The ‘Stargazer’ lilies are in bloom now and the little hummers seem to enjoy them.
We saw a clear winged hummingbird moth in the phlox this week, so there should more of them soon.
Check your schedule and come and see us at Embracing Pines for a couple of days……bring along your binoculars and we will give you a bird house with your 2 night stay!
The hummers should be here for a couple more weeks, and then one day they will be gone……..quiet out there until next year.
We hope to see you soon!
