“Music in the Gardens” 2006 is an annual series of concert hosted just eight blocks from Heritage House B&B at one of the most amazing setting you will find – the Munsinger and Clemens Gardens in the heart of St.Cloud on the banks of the Mississippi.
This year marks the seventh year of the “Music in the Gardens” chamber music series sponsored by the Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society. The public success of these professional concerts has been gratifying and the 2006 series will continue to showcase high quality local talent.
All concerts are held on Sundays at 3:00 p.m. near the Gazebo in Munsinger Gardens on the banks of the Mississippi River. All concerts are free and the Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society will again sell those fabulous $1 root beer floats.

Classical instruments, summer sounds. Very civilized.
This marks the first time we have presented a standard woodwind quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and French horn. This professional group from Minneapolis programs a wide variety of repertoire for the summer audiences. Dana Maeda – Oboe – graduated from St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Music degree in oboe performance and holds an MA degree from St. MaryÕs University. Elizabeth Wall – Flute – received her B. A. degree in performance after studying at St. Olaf College and the University of Minnesota. Karen Hansen – Clarinet – earned her B.A. from St. Olaf College and her M.A. from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Vicki Wheeler – Horn – is a graduate of Luther College and an active freelance musician. Ford Campbell – Bassoon – graduated from St. Olaf College with a degree in Bassoon Performance.

Jazz Piano trio jazz at it’s best. Everyone an artist. This jazz trio of piano, bass and drums gets its name from the initials of the players. They’ll introduce themselves during the performance. It’s a great way to close out the summer series. The VBGBTV Jazz Trio features: Ted Godbout – Piano – is a recent graduate of St. John’s University and is currently freelancing as a pianist in the Twin Cities area. Karl Van Beckum – Bass – is a graduate of St. Norbert College, De Pere, WI and Shenandoah University, Winchester, VA. He plays with the Paramount Jazz Orchesta and with SCSU Faculty Jazz at the Radisson. Terry Vermillion – Drums – Professor of Music in Percussion at St. Cloud State University. Terry is principal percussionist with the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra. >
